Connect Your AI App
Claude
Claude connects to Local SEO Data as a custom connector. You add it once, and it works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and mobile.
Pro, Max and Free plans
- In Claude, open Customize > Connectors.
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it
Local SEO Dataand pastehttps://mcp.localseodata.com/mcp. - Choose Sign in now, log in or create a free Local SEO Data account, and click Allow. New accounts confirm their email with a 6-digit code on the same screen.
The Free plan allows one custom connector.
Team and Enterprise
- An Owner adds it once under Organization settings > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web with the same URL.
- Each member then connects their own Local SEO Data account from Customize > Connectors.
Turning it on in a chat
- Click + at the bottom left of the message box, then Connectors, and switch Local SEO Data on.
Check it works
Ask: "What's my Local SEO Data balance?" That calls the free get_balance tool, so it costs nothing and shows the connection is live. Then try a real question, like "Who are the top 3 on Google Maps for plumbers in Denver?" Most answers cost 2 to 10 credits, and new accounts start with 100.
The Claude Desktop config file
Use Connectors for Local SEO Data, not claude_desktop_config.json: that file is for local servers, and remote servers added there don't show up in Claude on the web or mobile.
Using an API key instead
Add the connector with https://mcp.localseodata.com/mcp?key=YOUR_API_KEY and choose No sign in. You'll find your API key in the API Keys dashboard. It starts with sk_live_.
