Getting Started

No-Code Quick Start

You don't need to write code to use LocalSEOData. If you use Claude (Anthropic's AI assistant) or ChatGPT, you can get local SEO data just by asking in plain English.

Option 1: Use Claude with our MCP Server (Recommended)

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets Claude access LocalSEOData directly. Once set up, you just chat with Claude:

"Audit Joe's Pizza in Brooklyn, NY" "Show me who ranks for 'plumber' in Denver" "Check if my business info is consistent across directories" "Run a geogrid scan for my bakery in Austin for 'cupcakes'"

Claude will call the API, get the data, and explain the results in plain English — no code required.

To set it up:

  1. Sign up at localseodata.com/signup (50 free credits)
  2. Install the MCP server (see MCP Server docs or ask your developer to do this one-time setup)
  3. Start chatting with Claude about your local SEO

Option 2: Use the Dashboard

Our web dashboard lets you run audits, check rankings, and view reports through a point-and-click interface. No code, no setup beyond creating an account.

  1. Sign up at localseodata.com/signup
  2. Go to the Dashboard > Playground
  3. Select an endpoint, fill in your business details, and click "Run"

Option 3: Ask Your Developer

If you work with a developer or agency, share the API docs with them. They can build custom reports, automated monitoring, or integrate LocalSEOData into your existing tools. The API is designed to be simple — most developers can get started in under 10 minutes.

What Will It Cost?

Most single-business checks cost between $0.005 and $0.25:

  • Check your Google rankings: ~$0.005
  • Run a full local audit: ~$0.25
  • Check your reviews: ~$0.005
  • Map your rankings across your city (geogrid): ~$0.25 to $0.81

You get 50 free credits when you sign up — enough for 1 full audit or 50 ranking checks.
